Second annual Global Intranet & Portal Strategies Survey is now open

The 2007 survey covers a range of intranet and portal topics. At the request of 2006 participants and numerous new participants, it goes into depth on how web 2.0 technologies are being used behind the firewall.
Another new aspect is that I ask participants to contribute one or more good practices or lessons learned. This material will bring "narrative from the field" to support and give depth to the trends and statistics in the survey report.
If you manage an intranet or portal and would like to participate, contact me and I'll send you an invitation with a personalised link to the on line survey platform. It takes approximately one hour to complete the survey, but you can do it in several sessions.
The survey is open from June 15th to August 15th. All survey participants receive a free copy of the report which will be published early October.

Here is a list of the topics covered this year:

  • Perceptions: information flows, roles of intranet/portal as perceived by employees and management
  • Strategy & Decisions: drivers, documents, steering committee, centre & local balance
  • Globalisation – internationalisation - localisation
  • Languages & Translation: languages used, criteria, user controls, approach & translation tools, plans
  • Customisation & Personalisation: criteria, proportions
  • Collaboration & Knowledge-Sharing: tools, governance
  • Web 2.0 influence: tools & features implemented, focus on blogs & wikis, governance, strategy & management, reasons if hesitant

Sorry, I cannot find teh survey, where it is ?

Thanks.

Hi Didier. Thanks for looking, but I send individual personalised links to the organisations who wish to participate. I'll send you one now.
The survey is not open on line to anyone. I want to be sure there is no "spamming" and that each participant genuinely represents the organisation involved.
